Team India to undergo a Two Week Long and Strict Quarantine from 24 May

Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Head Coach Ravi Shastri will be quarantined on 24 May instead of 19 for England tour.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) was postponed indefinitely after the corona virus infiltrated into the bio bubble. After this, the main target of the Indian team has now become the World Test Championship and a series of five Test matches against England. For this three-month long tour, the Indian team will fly on June 2. Before this, the team members will have to stay in the compulsory and strict quarantine of two weeks in Mumbai. However, India's head coach Ravi Shastri, captain Virat Kohli, limited overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma and vice-captain of the test format Ajinkya Rahane will be given a five-day exemption.

According to 'ESPN Cricinfo' report, all three players and head coaches are from Mumbai and this exemption has been given to them for the same reason. However, during this time, they have to strictly follow the quarantine rules while staying at their homes. They will not be allowed to move out of the house. From May 24, all these members will join the Bio Bubble with other players at the team hotel in Mumbai. BCCI will bring team members from their home to Charter Plane to Mumbai.

All the players and members of the team going on England tour will have to undergo three RT-PCR tests before going to quarantine. Even after the quarantine, the team members will be tested at regular intervals.
