CSK Batting Coach Mike Hussey's hopes of going to Australia have suffered a major setback.
Mike Hussey was found to be postive in the covid-19 test on 6 May and he was tested negative in the second test on 9 May.

The batting coach of Chennai Super Kings Michael Hussey, who has been in the bio bubble, has been found positive, due to which his hopes of going to Australia have suffered a major setback. In view of the increasing infection of Corona in IPL 2021, the BCCI decided to postpone it. After which Australian players, commentators and match officials were sent to Maldives before leaving for Australia. Here all the players and all the members associated with the teams will be able to return to their respective homes only after completing the mandatory quarantine period. Chennai Super Kings bowling coach Laxmipathy Balaji and batting coach Mike Hussey were also found positive in the Corona Test after which they were brought to Chennai by air ambulance. He is currently in a hotel in Chennai.
Hussey was found to be postive in the covid-19 test on 6 May and he was found negative in the second test on 9 May. He said,"I’m Resting Well And I’m Feeling Stronger. I’m Hugely Appreciative Of What CSK Have Already Done And Are Doing For Me" after he was tested negative on 9 May.

In the test held on May 10, he again got positive. The series of Covid-19 cases started with Varun Chakraborty and Sandeep Warrier of KKR. After this, Delhi Capitals spin bowler Amit Mishra, KKR's Prasiddh Krishna and Tim Seifert Covid got positive in the test. Only then did the BCCI take a decision to postpone IPL 2021 indefinitely after 29 matches. Right now 31 more matches are to be played in IPL 2021.

It was only after this decision that different questions arose in the minds of cricket lovers. For example, has IPL 2021 been canceled? If not, when will it resume? Now where will all the matches of IPL 2021 be played?
Shortly after the postponement of IPL 2021, BCCI Vice-President Rajiv Shukla made it clear that IPL 2021 has only been postponed and not canceled.

BCCI President Sourav Ganguly made it clear in an interview with Star Sports that there is no scope to carry out the remaining matches of IPL 2021 in India. He also expressed gratitude for the Sri Lankan Cricket Board's proposal that in view of the busy schedule of Indian cricket, the possibility of resuming the IPL 2021 in September is slim. Sourav said that the possibilities of conducting the remaining matches of IPL 2021 this year will be explored, but when and where the matches of IPL 2021 will take place or not, it has not been decided yet.
