In view of the horrific situation arising due to Covid-19 in India, some players came forward to help. First of all, Pat Cummins announced the submission of 50,000 dollars in PM Care Fund. However, later he changed the decision to donate to PM Care Fund and decided to donate to India Covid-19 Crisis Appeal of UNICEF Australia. Later Brett Lee donated 1 Bitcoin (Approximately Rs 40 Lakh) to give his contribution to overcome the lack of oxygen in India.
Now the new name of Sunrisers Hyderabad has been added in this sequence. SRH has donated 30 crores to help the people affected by this epidemic. Team India captain Virat Kohli, along with his wife Anushka Sharma, has donated Rs 2 crore for the war against the Covid-19 epidemic. He aims to raise funds of Rs 7 crore.
