No Charter Flights for Australian Cricketers currently:
Cricket Australia (CA) chief Nick Hockley said on Monday that he had no plans to orchestrate a chartered plane to get back Australian cricketers from India, badly affected by the Covid-19, after the Indian Premier League (IPL) is finished. Hawkley said the Australian players had a sense of security in the IPL bio bubble (bio-safe climate), however his comments preceded information on two Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) players being discovered positive for the hazardous infection. Because of this, the match among KKR and Royal Challengers Bangalore on Monday was delayed.
Australian fast bowler Pat Cummins's KKR teammates Varun Chakraborty and Sandeep Warrier have come out positive. After two players are positive in the Corona Test and postpone the match, now the BCCI will organize this match later. Let us know that Mumbai Indians batsman Chris Lynn recently urged Cricket Australia to arrange a chartered plane for Australian cricketers after the IPL which ends on 30 May.
Hawkley told Melbourne Radio SEN, "There is no discussion about arranging the chartered aircraft yet." We are in contact with the Australian Cricketers Association, the players and the BCCI (Indian Cricket Board) to guarantee that all is great and individuals get total information.' He said, "'We are in contact with the players and they are feeling better. They are having a sense of security in BCCI's profile bubble".
"The BCCI have come out and said they understand and want to support the players in making sure they get home safely at the end," he added.
"Obviously, we're exceptionally worried for their well being, we're extremely worried for their security and we are worried to ensure toward the finish of the tourney that everybody returns home securely. That is the motivation behind why we're in such routine contact with the players, with the ACA and the BCCI," he added.
