Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and India's fast bowler Prasidh Krishna has been found infected with the Corona. He is the fourth player in the franchise to be found infected with Corona. Earlier Varun Chakraborty, Sandeep Warrier and Tim Seifert were found tainted with corona virus. Sources while speaking to news agency ANI confirmed that the right-arm pacer was found to be Corona positive. The source said, 'He is suffering from corona. The results have come out and they are positive.



During the IPL, the entire team including Prasidh regularly tested negative in Ahmedabad when Varun and Sandeep were found to be infected. According to sources in the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and KKR, Prasidh has been found positive in the Test on his return home to Bengaluru. Franchise sources said that he was fine until he left the bio-bubble.



Prasidh have been selected for the World Test Championship final and a five-match series against England, he has been included as a standby. BCCI sources have said that now Prasidh will have to come negative before flying to England.



The team was announced on Friday. Earlier today, New Zealand cricketer Tim Seifert was found infected with Corona. Because of this, he will not be able to go home with the commentators, other New Zealand players and support staff who came to India for IPL 2021. They will have to wait a few more days in India. He will leave for New Zealand after the report comes negative.



IPL 2021 was being held behind closed doors amidst the second wave of Corona. Players were staying in the Bio Bubble to defend against Corona. But the virus made a dent here as well. On Monday, KKR spinners Varun Chakraborty and Sandeep Warrier were found infected with the corona. On the same day, Chennai Super Kings bowling coach L Balaji was found infected.


The next day on Tuesday, Amit Mishra of Delhi Capitals and Wriddhiman Saha Corona of Sunrisers Hyderabad were found infected. The tournament was then postponed indefinitely keeping in view the safety of the players. Chennai batting coach Michael Hussey was also found to be corona infected.
