Let us know that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) postponed the IPL 2021 indefinitely. The reason behind this was the increasing cases of Covid-19 in the IPL. Soon after the postponement of IPL 2021, the Board (BCCI) started the work of transporting foreign players to their respective countries safely. In this sequence, some Australian players, coaches and team officials have been kept in Maldives keeping in mind their safety and health.

Vice-President of BCCI, Rajiv Shukla, immediately after the postponement of IPL 2021, it was cleared that the IPL has only been postponed and not canceled.

BCCI President Sourav Ganguly made it clear during the interview with Sports Star that the remaining 31 matches of IPL 2021 will no longer be in India. Where and when these matches will take place has not been decided yet.
