IPL 2021: DC Vs KKR Highlight, Prithvi Shaw assault drives DC to an easy Victory
Prithvi Shaw's 82 (41) helped Delhi Capitals defeat Kolkata Knight Riders by 7 wickets to register their fifth win of the tournament.
Pant's DC bounced back in the IPL 2021 with a seven-wicket victory over KKR after missing a close victory over RCB in the previous match. It was an all-round performance by DC as both batsmen and bowlers did their job Magnificently.
Captain Pant invited Morgan's KKR to bat first after winning the toss in 25th match of IPL 2021. Rishabh Pant informed that spinner Amit Mishra has been put to rest as a result of shoulder injury. New talent Lalit Yadav was given opportunity which he grabbed by both hands and took 2 crucial wickets in the form of KKR skipper Morgan (0) and Narine (0) by giving just 13 runs in 3 overs.
Ishant Sharma and Rabada weren't so economical as they gave 34 runs ( 4 overs) and 31 runs (4 overs) respectively and had to settle with no wickets. Axar did the job well and dismissed KKR opener Nitish Rana (15) and Karthik (14).
Avesh Khan dismissed Shubman Gill (43) who was going good and was second highest scorer after Russel in KKR side. Stoinis had to settle with just 1 wicket in the form of Tripathi (19).
Russell and Gill batted exceptionally well and helped Kolkata Knight Riders to reach a total of 154-6 in 20 overs.
The ground was set for the DC batsmen as the target was not so difficult.
There can't be a better start than six boundaries in the very first over of the innings. Opener Prithvi Shaw smashed six fours in the first over in a stunning batting display on his way to a blistering 82 in just 41 balls with the strike rate of 200. Shaw became the second batsman to smash six boundaries in an IPL over after Ajinkya Rahane,
With Shaw assaulting on one side, Shikhar Dhawan batted sensibly and went on to score 46 runs (47) before he was dismissed by Cummins in 14th over of match no. 25 of IPL 2021.
A partnership of 132 runs was made for the first wicket between Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan in match no. 25 of IPL 2021.
Shikhar Dhawan’s wicket was followed by Prithvi Shaw’s wicket in 15.2 overs, who got dismissed by Cummins.
In the very same over cummins dismissed the skipper of DC which proved to be the last wicket of the match.
None of the bowlers of KKR, except Cummins, could do the job for the team as DC went on to register 7 wickets win over KKR.
Overall it was the Prithvi Shaw (Show) as he started to attack KKR bowlers from the very first ball of the innings. He was declared man of the match in match 25 of IPL 2021 for his blistering 82 runs of 41 balls.
"Prithvi Shaw is a talented player, we all know that. But if you give him the confidence he can do wonders," Skipper Pant said.
