Wriddhiman Saha of Sunrisers Hyderabad found Covid-19 positive, Match to be Rescheduled

Sunrisers Hyderabad wicket keeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha has been found positive in the Covid-19 Test. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to suspend IPL 2021 for the time being after Saha returned positive in the Covid-19 Test. BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla told ANI that the IPL 2021 has been suspended for the moment, clarifying that the tournament has not been canceled and it will have to be seen when the remaining matches will be held.
On Monday, before Saha tested positive, Varun Chakraborty and Sandeep Warrier of Kolkata Knight Riders were found positive in the Covid-19 Test. Apart from this, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) bowling coach Laxmipathy Balaji's report of Kovid-19 Test came positive on Monday. In the IPL, the match was to be played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians today. The match was to be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi from 7:30 pm.
The IPL was suspended indefinitely after several cases of Covid-19 were found in the bio bubble. IPL chairman Brijesh Patel told PTI, 'The tournament has been suspended indefinitely. We will try to organize this tournament in the next available time but this month is not likely.
